Why use games?

The games achieve:

  • Breaking schemes, paradigms, fears
  • Making the Deepest Motivations Evident
  • Identify roles, moments, reasons, situations, which tend to go unnoticed in traditional analyses.
  • Generate very high levels of creativity.
  • Prevent participants’ ego and need for justification from affecting the outcome of the session
  • Tremendously high levels of participation and “engagement”, from start to finish.
  • Generate high levels of recall for commitments, concepts, strategies.
  • Bringing people with diverse interests together to reach agreements
  • Generate powerful communication links between people
  • Making a boring session full of smiles and fun

“I’m in a clever play-based workshop (playshop!)… has been absolutely brilliant. Engaging, emotional, fun and joyful. Insightful.”

Betty Adamou, Gamification expert. Author. Ipswich, UK.

You'll design games for your own goals.

And if games are so powerful, why aren't all consultants using them?

Because making and directing games is a science. It requires a great knowledge of human motivations, player styles, the possible mechanics and dynamics that work in a group, objective design, decision and level design, economy design…

Most of us have only had contact with basic game mechanics, such as simulations, metaphors, role-playing games, or evaluation games.

And if it’s so difficult… How will I be able to use the games?

It’s a science, but it’s not a hard science. And it’s even easier if you have tools designed to make it easy to design and stage a variety of games. That’s exactly what EkoBrain is.

Learn the methodology that will teach you how to create a plan to transform companies towards sustainability, with exciting goals, concrete actions, and real indicators.

Learn tools that are used on different fronts of sustainability

Games to support sustainability reporting processes

This line of EkoBrain games supports the work of those who must help build the strategy and generate sustainability reports for organizations. They make it possible to complement traditional tasks (interviews, document review, observation, etc.) with sessions in which the information required for the real measurement of all types of impacts is deepened and expanded.

Games to strengthen a culture of sustainability

This set of games help organizations and communities lead their members to have shared visions and build exciting goals that move them forward on their path to sustainability.

EkoBrain games make participants feel really heard and they can see, in real time, how their contributions are taken into account for the construction of exciting futures.

Nothing contributes more to cultural transformation than the excitement of feeling part of something great and feeling like you play an important role in the adventure.

Innovation in action

Unfortunately, it is common to find that many organizations and communities limit themselves to copying what is being done in other places, leaving aside the possibility of building their own local proposals, which take advantage of internal resources and capacities and resolve particular situations more effectively.

Many of the EkoBrain games achieve incredible results in the purpose of leading a team to generate action ideas that are truly novel.

Games for capacity building

Another of the many spaces in which EkoBrain generates immense value is in the development and strengthening of capacities for sustainability. In this sense, EkoBrain games can be used in education, from elementary school to high levels of vocational training. They are also powerful when these capacities need to be developed in the internal work team or in the members of communities of any size.

Playing to learn is one of EkoBrain’s purposes.

“How nice is it if you can make your organization a lot more sustainable with serious play? Ekobrain is a highly effective and fun method to really motivate people in your organization towards the goals you set. You will be surprised with the outcome.”
